metpy.calc.water_latent_heat_vaporization(temperature)[source]#

Calculate the latent heat of vaporization for water.

Accounts for variations in latent heat across valid temperature range.

Parameters:

temperature (pint.Quantity)

Returns:

pint.Quantity – Latent heat of vaporization
