Quickstart Guide

These steps are comprehensive for the newcomer. Users familiar with Jupyter, Conda or other parts can see their shortcuts.

Replicate the Install_and_Demo notebook from the video

  1. Watch the 1-minute introductory Video

  2. Install The IDV here.

  3. Install Jupyter (as part of Anaconda here).

  4. Download Install_and_Demo.ipynb, for instance by using the button in its upper right corner.

  5. Launch Anaconda Navigator and launch its Jupyter Notebook application.

  6. In the resulting browser tab containing Jupyter, locate and open the Install_and_Demo.ipynb file from 3.

  7. Follow its directions, and enjoy!
