This project begins where the intermediate level “How’s it going? Model Output vs Observations” left off. Students will extend their work by comparing the output from several models againsted gridded analysis products (or any other chosen gridded observational products) for verification. Statistics over grids can be determined using xarray (both built-in functionality and with xskillscore), or various scipy utilties can be used. For interactive exploration of your verification work, notebook widgets are also introduced.
